The melon rind remains to be an ordinary rind as long as it stays as a skin of melon. But it starts to be transformed slowly into a plaster as it being peeled off. The melon with a plaster rind is not grown widely yet, and grows in the south region only where the warm wind blows, because it has a quite sensitive character. The people dwelling in that area would go to the field where melon grows when they get wounds needing plaster. They just pare off some rind and adhere it on the wounded skin. The region has its own peculiarities of not selling any adhesive plaster.
